Did you know that there's different types of bamboo fabric?? I didn't! We bought two sets of these heavenly sheets and we are absolutely smitten. So I wanted a different color and purchased a different brand. The other brand is NOTHING like these, it feels like shiny almost-soft but not what you would expect from $80 sheets that say they're 100% bamboo. So I went googling after reading another person's review that the other brand is actually rayon. Turns out there's different ways that bamboo fabric is made and the best way is this one. Lyocell. The BEST kind. Who knew?!? I thought bamboo was bamboo but I was wrong and today I hope this review helps you. Here's something I copied from an article I googled:"In the lyocell process, raw bamboo pulp is dissolved using a non-toxic solvent, producing non-hazardous effluent. The fiber is created using a closed-loop system that recycles 98% of the water. The result is a first-of-it’s-kind bamboo lyocell fabric that is stronger and softer than bamboo rayon, free from harmful chemicals and requires less energy and water to produce."The whole article was really interesting! It's from attitude . Com and you can go read up on the different kinds of bamboo yourself. These sheets are the good kind, lyocell. And I will SWEAR by them to everyone. I am bummed that they don't come in other colors but the texture and comfort and cooling factor are WAY worth it. I get hot at night and these are just heavenly. They don't slide off my mattress as another reviewer said, although I do not have a mattress topper like they do. They did mention that they thought that may be the issue since their flannel also bunches up. My sheets have never once come loose from my king mattress. I just love love love these sheets so much and I am returning the other poopoo rayon brand. BUY THESE ONES! Someone else described these as "like sleeping on a thousand baby asses" and I couldn't stop laughing, I was dying!! It's SO TRUE. soft as a baby booty!!!!These are the best sheets I’ve ever owned and I am replacing all of my summer sheets with these bamboo sheets. I can’t say enough good things about them.Man two years ago these sheets are at their peak I came back a couple years later and order some more pairs for my guest bedroom and the ones from two years ago are softer than what I just got so downgrade and what a shame too ha knMan two years ago these sheets are at their peak I came back a couple years later and order some more pairs for my guest bedroom and the ones from two years ago are softer than what I just gotShameShameBell ringShameI have to say these sheets are awesome. I'm typically an old school percale cotton person who hates that most sheets are sateen these days. These, however, are something else. Smooth and cool; they feel great! There are still a good amount of wrinkles which I did not expect with the material described. The sheets are soft and most importantly kept me cool at night.I have a love/hate relationship with these and my one other bamboo sheet sets.NOTHING is softer, lighter, more comfortable than these. Between bamboo for warmer months and flannel for cold, I don't need anything more.HOWEVER, these do not stay tucked and taut. Have to remake the bed almost completely everyday.Corner clips don't help, sheet bands don't help. Scrunchie helps a little, but a real pain to attach/detach each sheet change. In fairness, not sure whether it is the sheets or the memory foam layer on my mattress (even the flannels get a little loose), but the bunchie-ness by morning is unlike anything I've ever experienced. Will I ever buy anything but bamboo (or flannel) again? No.But be aware, if you like your sheets to stay put overnight; these may not be to your liking.I love these sheets. They are so soft and comfortable. However, they started pilling within the first week of use. If they didn't cost as much and didn't pill so bady, I'd buy another set.Hubby sleeps HOT and he says these do feel cooling to him. I don't really notice any difference temperature-wise, but I love the feel of the sheets-they are smooth without being slippery, nice and soft. Doesn't look like it would pill or anything. Different instructions on package and on tag say not to machine dry, or to machine dry low, so the first time I hung them to dry. The next time, they were dried in the dryer without my knowledge, so I have no idea what setting was used. They don't seem to have suffered at all from that, so I think in the future I will definitely put them in the dryer, but will use a low heat setting. We'll see how they hold up, but so far, we would recommend them, especially at this reasonable price! The original 100% bamboo lyocell sheets Jomo sold are so much better then this new viscose model. Ordered again, thinking that they are the same but really sad they have changed the material.Great value! Well packaged. One of those ice cold moments as soon as you get in and then instantly heats up. Very soft. Will order again.
