For the price I am very happy. There was one corner that was chipped but it turned out to be a inside piece so no one can see it. Other than that bed is really nice as are the bins-very sturdy and wish they gave more. Also is very sturdy with just using the mattress alone no boxspring, I am plus size so was worried I might have to get an extra piece of wood or something for added protection but I've been sleeping on it and doesn't creak or feel scary moving around.I will say though I wish I had paid for assembly assistance but I also felt the estra $150 price for that service was ridiculous which is why I declined. But this basically took close to 6 hours with breaks and I have two other people helping me. Alot of pieces that you have to build and while I thought the instructions were easy to read towards the end we had realized some pieces were backwards (mainly the ones with no finish on both sides) and so we can go take some stuff apart and redo. Also just be aware that not only boxes themselves but the actual bed as well is extremely heavy. Luckily I built mine in the room it was staying but when we were done it was crooked so we had to adjust and it was hard to do just that. Can't imagine having to move this thing.First off, I ordered the king and this thing came in 2 boxes which both weighed over 100 pounds! Make sure you have some help carrying these bad boys.I’m sure you will see from other reviews but this thing is no joke. I thought it would take me a few hours at most to assemble. Yea, no… it took me around 5 hours to get assembled!! Do yourself a favor and USE A DRILL!! It would honestly take twice as long if I didn’t have a drill. Just be sure to set your torque low so you don’t destroy your furniture. I have a hilti had mine set around 6.Once I got this mammoth set up, I was very pleased. Initially, I thought I would need to buy the extra boards to make the surface completely flat on top. You do not need to. It comes with the boards that rest over the empty area on top which was a relief. It’s also very solid and smells really good. My wife and I have been using it for over a month now and we really love it! I would most certainly recommend this frame, just as long as you have a drill and around 5 hours to build it ;)So I shopped for a full sized bed for my daughter’s tiny room for over 6 months before choosing this one. I was originally looking at one with the storage drawers and friends told me they were junk. I went to several furniture stores and looked at ones that were 3-4 times the price of this bed and the storage drawers just weren’t sturdy. I looked at secondhand beds. But by the time I paid for the bed, the truck and help to move it etc it would have been the same price or more than this bed. So I went with this.First, it’s sturdy! It doesn’t have those slats. Even the best slats seem to break, fall out and make a mattress wear unevenly. This has flat boards that are in there nice and tight. Yet can be easily removed to use the space under the bed for long term storage. While it is made from press board it is solid! It doesn’t wobble at all. Doesn’t feel weak. I don’t feel like I have to ease into the bed. Doesn’t creek.I love that the edges at the foot of the bed are curved. It’s a little detail that all too often gets missed and you wind up cursing the designers. Now for a few cons. I only took off 1 star for these because over all I am happy with the bed. These may be a deal breaker for you.*The “scheduled” delivery was 8 days early. Thank goodness I was home to ask the UPS driver just to slide it into the front door. Otherwise it would have been a nightmare just to get it in the door.*Its heavy! I am an older woman with physical limitations so I took my time to carry each piece up the stairs over a course of a few days.*its a bit bigger than the picture makes it seem. This was important to me since literally every inch of space is needed in the room I put the bed in. The picture makes it seem like the mattress goes right to the edge. In reality there are a few extra inches sticking out all the way around the mattress.*the finish is pretty crappy. There were already some dings and I can see where areas may peel. If you live in a humid environment it may be a big problem for you. Since it sits in the floor and is covered by the bed, any imperfections are hard to notice once the bed is made. But understand, while you’re building it you will see everything. Don’t be alarmed. But don’t expect a high quality finish at this price. I received all pieces and none had any broken edges.*Time to put together was 4-5 hours for me. That’s one person. That doesn’t include the time to read the directions, check all of the parts and other prep work. I did it on my own. I didn’t rush. And it wasn’t hard. Just time consuming. Which again, I didn’t mind due to the price. Tip- open the smaller box first. There you will find the instructions and the hardware and the first pieces to assemble. All of the pieces went together flawlessly. Every piece was cut and drilled properly.Read the manual before beginning. It won’t really make sense but get yourself familiar with it.Try to put the boards in size and alphabetical order before starting. Example- all long boards stacked up and in order, all square boards in order etc. When possible put the stamped side up so it’s easy to see. Sometimes the stamp is on the edge and other times it’s in the flat side. Just do your best. It makes it so much easier to find the part you’re looking for.Tools needed, screwdriver and a hammer. Don’t use a drill.I cannot stress this enough TAKE YOUR TIME! Like mom always said “haste makes waste”.Save the instructions. You will need them to disassemble the 3 main parts to move it.If you are putting the bed on carpet it will be challenging to rearrange your room.If you are building it on a flat surface like wood, laminate or vinyl protect the floor and the furniture with a blanket. It will scratch the floor as you are moving pieces around.I know this review is long but felt these points are important. Hope they help you. This frame took me two days to set up, and thankfully I had the time. It came five days early, dropped off at my back door, in two boxes labeled “over 70lb”. There are a million pieces! I assembled this myself so I had to drag the boxes to the living room and carry it all upstairs in multiple trips. All the pieces were accounted for and the instructions were very extensive… however! A few parts weren’t specific enough about which direction they went, leaving gaps, so I found myself unscrewing boards and flipping them around so they would be flush. Definitely a project.I’ve seen a number of reviews that show some peeling and some warping- those aren’t too noticeable once it’s put together. The difficulty of adding the planks in the end with everything screwed down (facts!) I had to loosen a few screws to wedge them in there. Is this the coolest bed frame ever? Yes! Is there a mound of plastic and cardboard packaging strewn across the rest of my house? Also yes!Overall, 4 stars. It looks awesome, there’s cubby holes for my cat, it was delivered in great time with all the parts. The bed is sturdy, looks good, and has plenty of storage.Only 2 'negative' points that I have are1) it should come with more storage boxes as there are 6 cubbies and only 2 boxes2) the pieces that make up the part of the bed that the mattress goes on are poorly fit. If not places properly they call into the cubbies and when you push on the mattress, they slide up and off the bed. we fixed it by adding a piece of wood, and screwing them into place. Other than that tho, I would recommend.Amazing value!! We are revamping our room so we still need to paint and hang our floating headboard but so far we are thrilled! This bed took two people to assemble and about 1.5 to 2 hrs. The instructions were easy to follow and all pieces accounted for.Boxes were extremely heavy so I recommend opening them at the door and carrying piece by piece into the room. There was no scratches or dents. It is so sturdy and the draws are a great size for socks and bedsheets etc.Would definitely recommend for a smaller room (space saving).Price was on point for me and worked well in our budget for. We got the kind size. It's a great little space saver of a bed. Looks lovely in the White. There are 8 cubbies under the bed, the front two have baskets with it while the other six do not and they are a funny size to fill. It would have been really handy if the other containers either came with or were offered as an add on. We put an 11"mattress on it and its not too high for shorter people to get on. We bought this bed for a family member in a retirement home and the extra storage helped a lot. These beds are awesome!! My daughters love them. The storage the bed has is fabulous. The materials were packaged extremely well, the instructors were easy to follow but could have been better (so says Hubby), would have preferred wooden dowels over plastic.Overall, awesome bed! Very happy with it :)Cette base de lit plateforme est vraiment pensée, et fabriquée de manière intelligente. Solide et aidant pour classer nos panier et autres accessoires que nous ne pouvons ranger faute de place. Je suis très satisfaite de cet achat et je pense que je pourrai le conserver plusieurs années. Pour le déplacer, c'est très lourd (500lbs), j'ai donc appliquer du feutre sous le lit, à plusieurs endroits, et il glisse bien sur le plancher si on veut le déplacer.
